The Banned Ad
Pennington

The BANNED AD was  created by DAVID Miami and produced by Sailor Studio for Pennington. The campaign was originally created to stop the increase of synthetic turf in the NFL, as it is more harmful to athletes than playing on natural grass.

The campaign was awarded a silver and bronze Clio Award in the "Professional Athlete" and "Athlete Storytelling" categories, respectively. The campaign was led by athlete Von Miller, who is a reference in the sport and has an unfortunate history of injuries in his career as a player.

The campaign began with a commercial that was rejected by the NFL. The commercial showed Von Miller talking about the dangers of synthetic turf and asking the league to return to using natural grass.

After the commercial was rejected, the campaign was taken to the internet, where it had a huge impact, causing other players in the league to speak out about the issue. The BANNED AD was a success, both in terms of impact and results. The video helped to raise awareness about the dangers of synthetic turf and pressured the NFL to review its turf policy.
